PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Interacts with customers prior to and/or after the sale. Develops and maintains positive customer relations; coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner. This position has authority to substantially affect the relationship between the company and the customer, either from a financial or product standpoint. Focus of work can be pre-sale or post-sale or both. Provide sales support that includes order initiation and processing, lead qualification, quoting and customer credit checks. Process and track maintenance renewal orders and sales related information. Generate customer reports and handle sales activities. Maintain customer database information. Work with product managers to ensure product availability and serve as factory to sales liaison on orders, COB, shipments and order status. Track internal/external on-time quality statistics. Facilitate problem resolution with customers by coordination of factory, sales and product service activities.
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL:
General supervision of work with assignments that require a thorough and practical knowledge of the technical or business discipline. May be assigned to small projects or to phases/portions of larger projects. Proficient with tools, systems, and procedures required by the work. Understands and applies most principles, theories, concepts, and techniques utilized in the discipline. Developing experience in the applicable discipline in solution creation and increasing business knowledge. Provides resolution to various problems of moderately complex scope. Exercises judgment in the use of defined procedures and practices. Has mastered most of the basic job responsibilities. Contacts are typically with other members of the team, management, and/or outside the immediate organization. Failure to achieve goals may require additional resources to correct. Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 year’s experience, or Masters with 0-1 year’s, or its equivalent.
